First Day of School

So School has begun. We went to back to school night last Wednesday and Bryanna started thursday morning. It came up so fast. I can't believe summer is almost over. So I have to laugh at my girls Bryanna was so excited to see her old class room. Forget the new one, she was a little bumbed that Ms Grimnes was no longer there but then the student teacher from last year has taken over the position so she was excited to see him again. She just wanted to stay and talk to him instead of going to her new class. She did like her new teacher once we got into the class room. So you would think she would be excited to get up the next morning for school. But you all know how Bryanna likes to sleep, so first day of school when I woke her up She says "five more minutes mom". So I figured I would shower and and then try again. "I'm just sleepy" was her next response. She did get up and make it on time though. It would have been a great start to the year to show up tardy the first day. Jill, the secretery, already knows her by name from being tardy last year. O'well, we do what we can. We just aren't morning people around here I guess.

So Hallie's response to kindergarten was a little bit different. We went and saw her room and teacher(there's only one teacher this year so the room was alittle crowded) so first off Hallie didn't want to go in because there was too many people. So we found her coat hook while we waited for a little space to enter. Yes!! she was excited to find her name. We went in and she decided she didn't want to talk to her teacher. Flat out refused is more like it. Arms crossed, grumpy face, the whole bit. So we found her cubby with her name on it and her own set of crayons and a folder just for her. Yes!! another hit. Maybe I should just personalize everything at home!! We also found one of her little friends from preschool we knew would be there. So I thought everything would turn out allright. Bryanna and she went out to the playground while I filled out papers and then we left. As soon as we walked out of the school doors Hallie pronounced that she hates school and is not going to Kindergarten. Go Figure!!
wait it gets better.
We got home not having said much about it. She stomped off to her room and then came out with her arms folded(standard I'm mad stance) and Says "I hate mom and I'm not going to school". I have to say I was a little shocked. I guess I didn't expect a response like that.
I told her that didn't make me feel very good and I think that she felt even worse because she burst into tears. Sobs would more accurately describe it and went running to her room yelling "I want Daddy".
That's the new thing around here. Whenever my girls are not happy with me they want dad. They call him on the phone during the day just to tell him mom's not being nice.
It's kind of funny, because I don't think I'm really that mean. Atleast I hope I'm not.
Anyway as of now Hallie is still not planning on going to school. but she keeps talking about her teacher Mrs Allen and her class and when we had to postpone the meeting with her teacher she got mad about it. We meet with her teacher tomorrow and hopefully that will help. She is quite the funny little girl. I'm beginning to think she just has a hard time adjusting to change.
Maybe she will be my one we will have to figure out an alternative for school!! because I allready went to kindergarten and I don't want to sit through it with Hallie if I don't have to. Although she loved preschool last year!! I'm crossing my fingers that she will go thursday when kindergarten starts!! Maybe she will see it's not that bad, or maybe she won't who knows with this one.

Cambry on the other hand can't wait to start preschool next week. She is just going up the street to our neighbor and she is so excited to go to Robbie's for school. She is going to be an easy one!!
I wish they were all like that!!
