Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween To You All.  We had a great time on our very traditional Halloween. Carving pumpkins, dressing up and trick-or-treating.  Hope you all had a great time too!!
She's a mermaid.  Did the make up and Hair herself.
What a nerd.  She already has plans for next year.
Any ideas for a zombie Ballerina.

My tiger and Ladybug.  And I have been informed by the little guy that tigers
are not afraid of ladybug's. Thought you'd all like to know.  He told at least
three houses that.  He also has an obsession with blue, hence the hair.

She's swimming in case you can't figure it out.

Arhhgg! A'hoy matey.  All she wanted for her outfit was that
awesome sword.  I'm hoping she will pass it on to her brother when Halloween is over.

Family Dymanics

I was browsing through our Yellow Stone pictures and came across this one and almost burst out laughing.  You only get to see the cute ones I choose to post, but I couldn't help but put this one up because it shows our true family dymamics.  We don't always get the kids to behave the way we want, sometimes they have a mind and personality of their own.  Thought you might want to see what they are really like. We have bossy, stubborn, grumpy, silly, loveable, and Kerry likes to call them  "monkey 1 and monkey 2, monkey see, Monkey do".  See if you can figure out who fits what by this picture.

So little Time

Summer just flew by.  I don't know about the rest of you but going back to school has definitely been bitter sweet.  I miss the girls during the day, but boy it's nice to get something done without it being destroyed right after. We wrapped up our summer with a quick trip to Yellowstone.  Camping, Hiking, swimming, and of course the sites.

You can't get better than that Cheese

Good Old Faithful.  Right on Time!

Now School has started. The girls love their teacher and Kylan can't wait to start his "boy school".  It's a good thing we are doing joyschool with him or it would be a very long year of watching the girls go to school.
I have so many pictures from the summer I will just have to put up a summary of everything next time.

Moments

So yesterday as I was typing, Kyra sat at the table eating and I
turned around to ask her if she wanted to read books and take a nap.
She said "uh-huh" so sweetly, so I thought ok just let me finish this
email and then I'll put her down.  I turned around not 2 minutes later
and found her on the chair sound asleep. It was so cute.

  I love moments like this
The third picture is from our family
reunion this last weekend.  I love watching little people discover the
world.  It makes me sad when I realize this is the last time any of my
kids will be awed by water, or discover how their fingers work or

figure out they can take their diaper off and run free anytime they
want. (this is my favorite age) I've heard screaming more than a few
times lately from the kids that Kyra is out where the neighbors are
going to see her naked. And look what I found today sound asleep

We are moving up to bigger, better, more
complicated concepts.  I'm going to miss the simpleness of little
ones.  But then they grow up, the other night I got home and Bryanna
had Kyra wrapped in a blanket rocking her in the rocking chair.
Another moment.
In all the chaos that usually rules my house, life is also
full of moments.  You know, the kind that make it all worth it, or
least make you feel like your moving in the right direction.
Sometimes they are obvious and sometimes they are a little hidden.
They seem to pop up at the most random moments.  At least around here.
But when they do come, I love them and cherish them.

I'm always amazed at the magical moments you can have with umbrellas. So I just bought 5 new umbrellas, because the ones from last year, and the year before are all trashed.  I told the girls if they ruined this ones they owed me the money for them.  It's no wonder they don't last, almost the minute we got home all 5 kids went out and began playing under their umbrellas.

Hiding places, movie stars and tea parties all involve umbrellas.
They were doing their best to use them even without the rain.
I guess it's a good thin we got new ones because this was the rain storm Bryanna had her field trip in.
Hope you can see that rain coming down.
The kids are loving the chicks.  They aren't so little now though. Catching them
has become a bit of a game.

Going's on

We went, braved the cold, and sat on hard benchees for 3 hours so Kerry could take his kids to
 Supercross 2011.
It was awesome!!.  Cambry hated every minute of it and couldn't hold still because she kept trying to find a warmer spot on the bench, under the blanket, under the bench, or in the middle of everyone.
Cambry before she got cold and bored.

We had dinner and got to see bikers before the show, and it was pretty fun
Kylan Loved the races.  He never got cold because he spent the whole time jumping on the bench so excited every time a racer came out.  He only fell into (or landed on ) the guy in front of us a couple of times.  The poor couple in front of us were such good sports.  They teased Kylan when he jumped on them and then they helped me catch Kyra a couple of time before she fell down the bleachers.  They got more than they bargained for that night.
Hope you can see all the jumps.  It really was more exciting in real life.
Bryanna really liked it.  She even tried her hand at taking a few pictures.
She thought we ought to record it for all you poor folks who didn't get to come.
But I figure you can get a better view and better cinematography on TV
So she just took pictures instead, I really should show her how to focus with my camera.

Kyra Had a great time. Though it was cold, her nose is red only because she face planted it on the pavement!..  She was probably the warmest one there with all her layers and wrapped up in dad's lap.  She clapped and got excited every time the bikes came roaring out.
Here are some more fun pics. of the goofy children in my house.

My SuperStar Baby!!
We've discovered a super growth Hormone we thought we would try out on the kids before we sent it to market.

Side effects may include crossed eyes.
Careful, you never know what you might get.  It only targets one body part at a time, but it's anyone's guess which one!!

Easter Weekend

Hallie and Cambry had their dance recital Saturday.  It was great to watch.  Hallie was only upset that I didn't buy her flowers for afterward.  I guess I will have to rectify that tomorrow.

The rest of the weekend was filled with Baby Animal days at the AWHC (no pictures sorry), getting baby chicks, and easter fun.  What would a good spring day be without bubbles and chalk!!.

New Blogs

So my Girls wanted there own blogs. So we set one up for each of them.  They are private so if you would like and invite, email me brynheiner@gmail.com and we'll add you to their lists

Just happenings

So today we were at the school and Kylan wanted to get in the back of the suburban. So I let him, as I was closing the door I told him to watch his feet.  I'm pretty sure his feet weren't in the way when I shut it but when I got up front he was screaming. So I ran back and opened the door.  "My Toes" he was crying, so I ripped off his shoes just to make sure I didn't really smash them.  Just fine! But he was sobbing and screaming. I decided to go on home, and then as we turned around and started down the road he starts yelling and crying "go Back, my toes on road mom, My toes on road".  It took me a second to figure out what he was talking about.  "what?" I say.  "Piece my toes on road mom, go get it".  So apparently we had smashed a piece of his toe off and left it on the road at the school.  We had to sit and do a thorough examination of all his toes and nails to convince him I hadn't smashed his toes off!!  He did finally stop crying after a few minutes!! Quite the ordeal for a few toes!!

Updates

So It's week five of the Challenge and my kitchen has never been cleaner!! that's because it is the wild card goal this week and no other reason!!  Perhaps I will turn over a new leaf and keep it this way from now on, but it's doubtful :) The one challenge I am having a hard time with (meaning I don't get it done everyday) is exercising for 60 min.  20 or even 30 min would be fine, but 60 just doesn't fit into the schedule.  Once the kids wake up I pretty much have to wait until they go to bed to have an entire hour to do anything. But I think I've found a couple of solutions.  I like to call it Laundry and Lunges, or cooking and Calisthenics, and my favorite is sit-ups and sitting(in a chair typing at the computer).  I don't do this very often lest any of you think it's unfair, but trust me an hour of folding clothes and lunges( burn baby burn) and you'll feel it the next day.  And did you ever think that if you just tighten your abs and lean back and forth, concentrating on the muscles and add a few twists every minute or so, for the same amount of time as you spend typing that 6 pack is bound to show up sooner or later.  Add that to the walking that I actually get done and it's a great day for the body!!  So as long as I get in some toning in I can spend the rest of the day keeping up with this one

and this one. There's plenty of Cardio in that!!
Gotta Love that cheese of a smile.  I can't get the camera out with out both
of them wanting their turn in the spotlight
Has anyone else out there made any resolutions this year??
