July 4th and stuff

This year we finally did it. We started our annual 4th of July neighborhood breakfast.

It was great. We invited as many people as we could get ahold of and cooked pancakes, sausage and bacon, eggs, and hashbrowns. It turned out great. Then we had a children's parade. Since we are a bit of a spread out neighborhood we sent the kids around the church a couple of times. It was fun for them to decorate their bikes and ride around for a while. Good thing they are still little and can have fun with it. We did do fireworks at Grandmas later and the night before we say the big fireworks at the local Highschool. I think the kids realy enjoyed the 4th this year. We tried to explain the Bryanna what it ment to gain independence. I'm not sure she got it. Good thing it comes around every year!! Maybe next year she'll understand.

Bryanna on her decorated bike.
Hallie was in a mood that day. We barely got her to ride her bike. She wasn't about to smile for the Camera!!
Kylan enjoyed the whole parade watching the back of his eyelids.
It was a fun 4th.

The rest of the month is going to be spent catching up. Kerry finished replacing the deck yesterday with some help from the kids. Of course Mom provided the lunch. He's glad to have one less project for this summer(which by the way is going way too fast) Half over and we haven't made it to the pool yet. Kerry was complaining that he hasn't been on his motorcycle yet. I can't say I sympathize with that): But we are having lots of fun. There's just a lot of family activities and work to be done.

Here are some funny pictures of Kylan. He does the greatest faces all the time. Especially the little pursed lips he does. He does it quite a bit!!

He has done this little lip thing since he was only a couple weeks old. It's funny to watch.

The girls like to play in a fan we turn on in the evening to cool the house. They look like that might just blow away.

So fun to see the kids. Love your blog - cute post. Thanks for coming down for fireworks on the
4th. We love having you and the kids with us. It was fun to see Bryanna and Jayden lighting the big ones for the first time.

Love you all so much, Mom
