Been Busy!

Things are just going as great at they ever have been. We only have one more week of school. Yeah!! Summer is on it's way!! (I hope) We had such nice weather a week ago. My tulips were in bloom and the girls were enjoying the outdoors. We did egg carton crafts.

But now we are back inside. Hallie has been cooking again!! I tried to convince her to make something edible but she simply had her own idea of what was going to go in her little cuncoction(sorry 'bout the spelling) So she got out a big bowl, added milk, olives, orange slices,
1 choco chip(apparently you can have too many), 1 cup sugar vanilla, flour, and two eggs. Hopefully no egg shells but between her and Cambry you never can tell.So after mixing this of course she wanted to bake it.

So we stuck her olive pie in the oven for 20 min. And low and behold it came out solid looking like a real something. I forgot she also added walnuts. The ones she had spread out on the counter for the mice who live in our basement(playing cinderella at the same time as cooking, There aren't really mice incase you were wondering:)

Can you say oooh Yummy, at least until she tasted it. Needless to say two days later when she wanted to cook again. I had no problem talking her into something she could eat this time. Cupcakes!! I'm going to have to make her a picture recipe book. Because again this morning she got out a quart jar added milk, baking soda, and a marshmellow. Atleast it wasn't the lemon juice flour and baking powder she tried last time. She just grabs whatever is in front of her. Unfortunately she used up all of the lemon juice and it took me a while to figure out what she had actually but in the jar.

For the rest of the family, Bryanna had a talent show
this week in which she jumped rope. It was cute. Cambry is being a great big sister. Reading stories to Kylan and making him laugh. The video if of Kylan laughing. In the video try to hear him over his sisters giggles. He is the happiest baby. We also had a doctors appointment this week. 18lbs 6 oz , 27 in. So what do you do when a baby outgrows his carseat before he can hold himself up??

Hopefully he will slow the growth spurt just a little bit!!

The girls all got hair cuts as well (for summer I guess) Dad was a little dissappointed we didn't ask his permission first. What is it with guys and long hair anyway?

Welcome to Spring!!

Spring is in the air. So we thought.
Mother nature keeps changing her mind.
Monday was so nice the girls got their kites out and were playing in the wind.

We get quite the gusts across our back yard. It's perfect we don't have to go anywhere but outside to fly kites. Good thing we enjoyed the day,

because next thing we know it's snowing again. From sunny 71 to snowy 37 the next day. Welcome to spring in Cache Valley.

I guess that's why you're not suppose to plant outside 'till the end of may. The girls still enjoyed the great outdoors running through the snow barefoot. Something I think they learned from one of their Aunts!! It seems to be melting today.
I'm excited to get going on the planters.
Goal: this year my planters will be finished so I don't have to redo them again (for the 3rd year in a row) next year. I'm tired of having to dig the overgrown grass out of my flowers beds that don't have flowers!!
Anyone have favorite flowers they would like me to know about?? We have lots of space to fill.
I've started Tomatoes, Peppers, argula, a miriad of herbs, and a few flowers so they will be ready to go out as soon as the weather cooperates. I hope they grow well!! Happy Spring to y'all!!

School, School, school

Bryanna's been having fun at school. They had crazy hat day on April fools. This is our five minute creation we made that morning when we remembered it was crazy hat day. She was excited to get a flower hat until it was done and then she wasn't so sure she wanted to wear it. But she took it anyway and found that there were other kids with crazier hats than hers and was very glad she had one.

She also had a school play this friday. "Hansel and Gretel eat right" a 1st grade spin on eating good food instead of a ginger bread house. She was one of the story tellers and did a great job.

It's fun to see her get excited about things like that.
